Reverse osmosis is a process where the water is passed under pressure over a synthetic 0.006-micron membrane. The water pressure forces the pure water molecules through the membrane leaving the pollutants behind to be passed into the waste system. REESHAR Only offers a range of reverse osmosis water filtration solutions. Each system supplied by REESHAR combines a sediment filter and an activated carbon filter, to remove chemicals and bad tastes from the water, with the reverse osmosis membrane to remove dissolved solids (metal contaminants) from the water. Because reverse osmosis is a slow process the 4 and 5 stage systems include a pressurised tank to store the purified water. When drinking water is drawn from the faucet it comes from the tank and the reverse osmosis unit then slowly refills the tank.
